Priestess Landscape

I started this painting with only the inspiration of the word "priestess," but not clear vision or plan for what would appear on the canvas. A landscape has definitely emerged and there are different layers and textures to navigate in this space. It's interesting to analyze my own work after I make it. In my early work, particularly my work from college, my analysis would be the framework for my whole creation process. I'm not crazy about the end result of these little pieces, but I think I may be learning more about myself through this experiment.
